## Common rejection reasons

### Wearing glasses

Glasses are not accepted on Taiwan visa photos.

What to do: Remove your glasses before taking the photo.

### Wrong dimensions

Photo must be 45mm high by 35mm wide. Many applicants submit US-style 2x2 inch (51x51mm) photos by mistake.

What to do: Use our auto-cropper which outputs the exact 35x45mm dimensions.

### Non-white background

BOCA requires a plain white background. Gray, cream, or patterned backgrounds are rejected.

What to do: Stand in front of a plain white wall, or use our automatic background replacement.

### Photo older than 6 months

BOCA requires the photo to have been taken within the last 6 months.

What to do: Take a new photo if the most recent one is older than 6 months or your appearance has changed significantly.

### Black and white photo

BOCA specifies the photo must be in color (彩色).

What to do: Take a color photo. Most modern phone cameras default to color anyway.

### Not enough copies

BOCA visa applications require two identical printed photos. Submitting only one will delay the application.

What to do: Print at least two identical copies before submitting.
